After two months of grueling competition, 20 squads for PUBG Mobile and Dota 2 will advance to Mineski Masters Playoffs. They will compete for a share of the PHP 1.5 million prize pool.
The playoffs for PUBG Mobile will take place from November 13 to 14, while the playoffs for Dota 2 will run from November 25 to 28. The final leg of Mineski Philippines' tournament, dubbed "Battle of the Ages: Forging New Realms," aims to provide gamers and esports fans with the most creative online experience possible throughout the pandemic.
After weeks of qualifiers, only 16 of the 128 squads competing in the national PUBG Mobile tournament will advance to the playoffs. These top PUBGM squads will battle it out to claim the coveted title of battleground "True Master," featuring a prize pool of PHP 500,000. The event, which will be live-streamed, is co-presented by telco company Converge and sponsored by mobile phone brand Oppo.
On November 14, the much-anticipated opening ceremony will undoubtedly bring the excitement of offline events online. Singer-rapper Awi Columna will perform for the first time his original song "Lakad Matatag." Additionally, there will be a halftime variety show with exclusive giveaways for fans.
