Thirty-one best Garena Free Fire teams from seven regional leagues in Asia will be competing in the Free Fire Asia Championship (FFAC) 2021 from November 20 to 28.

Due to the cancellation of the Free Fire World Series this year due to safety concerns surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic, the online FFAC has been revealed as a replacement for Asian teams.

The 24 squads qualified through regional competitions held in Vietnam, Indonesia, Thailand, Taiwan, MCP (Malaysia, Cambodia, Philippines), India, and Pakistan. Meanwhile, the other 7 teams, which are the regional champions, were directly invited to the grand finals. These 31 teams will be vying for a share of the USD 400,000 prize pool and the championship title.

Free Fire Asia Championship 2021 Game Format

The FFAC 2021 has been divided into two stages: Play-ins and Grand Finals. The play-ins will take place on November 20 and 21. Meanwhile, the grand finals will occur on November 28. Check out the tournament format for each stage below.

Play-ins Stage

• The 24 play-ins teams have been split into two groups of twelve. Group A matches will start on November 20, followed by Group B matches on November 21.
• The top two squads from Group A and Group B will advance to the finals.
• The third-placed team with more points will earn a slot for the finals.
• Each day will feature six matches.

Grand Finals

• The 12 teams (7 from direct invites and 5 from play-ins) will play seven matches in the grand finals on November 28 to decide the winners.
