Globe has announced that it expects to migrate all its Globe At Home broadband customers to the latest fiber technology by 2022. This move is part of the telco's commitment to delivering a better internet experience.
Globe At Home has been transitioning its broadband customers from DSL and LTE to fiber without additional cost for over a year and is on track to complete the process.
As of October, migration had already surpassed the 2021 target by more than 250 percent. Globe's goal for this year is to install at least 1.4 million FTTH (fiber-to-the-home) lines.
"By 2022, all of our customers will be able to enjoy fast fiber technology capable of handling the present and future needs of the household," said Barbie Dapul, Globe At Home Vice President for Marketing.

The fast internet speed enables subscribers to experience more seamless HD video calls during work meetings or virtual classes and lag-free gaming due to the faster upload and download speeds.
Fiber internet allows more household members to access the internet while providing a more reliable connection.
Globe's most recent internal survey of customers who switched to fiber revealed a 45-point increase in customer satisfaction.
"The internet connection is extremely good!" a Globe At Home customer shared.
"Its speed is awesome!" another customer said.
With Globe Fiber's Unli FIBER Up plans, subscribers on Plan 1499 can get free access to KonsultaMD, a 24/7 consultation service with licensed physicians.
While those with Plans 1699 and above qualify for a free three-month subscription to VIU, HBO Go, Amazon Prime Video, Upstream, and WeTV, in addition to their free KonsultaMD. Additionally, they receive a free landline and unli calls to Globe.
