All-Filipino squad Blacklist International kicked off the Mobile Legends M3 World Championship with an all-out performance after sweeping its group stage matches held at the Suntec Singapore Convention Centre on December 6, 2021.
The reigning MPL PH S8 champions Blacklist defeated Brazil's Red Canids, Turkey's Bedel, and Peru's Malvinas Gaming in three best-of-one games in Group A en route to the playoffs' upper bracket quarter-finals slot.
Blacklist started their first match against Red Canids with dominant gameplay. With constant aggression and control of the lengthy game, Blacklist ultimately ended the game in the 19-minute mark with a whopping 16-4 kill record.
In the early game in their bout against the Turkish squad, Blacklist has struggled with Bedel's Fanny pick. However, Blacklist managed to control the midgame as OHEB's Beatrix led the team to dominate team fights and eventually secured victory in the 16th minute. Filipino squad tallied a 16-7 kill lead against Bedel.
Continuing their dominance, Blacklist quickly crushed Malvinas in under 10 minutes with a landslide 14-3 kill score to complete their sweep of Group A, 3-0.
With their victory over Group A, Blacklist International will begin in the upper bracket of the M3 World Championship's double-elimination Playoffs on December 11. They will also be joined by Group A's top 2 Bedel in the upper bracket.
